The history of Neural Therapy started by chance. In 1925, when the brothers Ferdinand and Walter Huneke observed that their sister’s persistent headaches disappeared suddenly when they administered her a medicament called “Atophanil” without knowing that that medicament might have that beneficial effects. When she had her next headache they administered her that drug again and the result were amazing because the pain just disappeared with all linked symptoms. The cause of these results was that they administered the medicament via intravenous instead of intramuscular, when the manufacturer indications said that must be applied intramuscular. The change of administration was definitely positive to have those amazing results.
Since then, they started a set of comparative tests which lead them to have a conclusion: the spectacular response was due to the action of procaine which along with its anesthetic effects, it can be used as a curative treatment for a great range of ailments. After more studies and tests they continued using this therapy, having impressive results to ease different kind of illnesses.
